Head coach Steve Sarkisian announced earlier this week that with Evers skipping the NFL draft for another season, the rising junior would start.
Arch said he “hasn’t considered a transfer at all,” and New York Giants Legend says it should stay that way.
“He chose Texas because that’s where he wants to be,” Eli said of Ark on CBS Sports Radio. “This is where he wants to play football. He likes coach Sarkisian and his offense and what he’s doing. . . .
“Obviously, the plan was that Evers would probably go to the NFL,” continued Eli. “But he’s there. Another year for Ark to mature, learn the offense, grow up, get stronger in the weight room and always be ready to play. You never know what’s going to happen.”

“I know he wants to play. He’s itching to get out there. But being patient, continuing to learn can also be very helpful.”
Evers led Texas to the College Football Playoff, where they had an almost unbelievable comeback against Washington in the semifinals.
“I think, naturally, when you enter. College Football Playoff, And you look at the team that beat us, he had a sixth-year senior quarterback (Michael Panix Jr.) who played at a really high level in that game,” Sarkisian said earlier this week. “I think His experience, his maturity are all things he can take advantage of. We will need his leadership.”
Sarkisian added that Arc “has got a very bright future.”
“Obviously, there’s always rumors, especially nowadays, but I haven’t considered a transfer at all,” Manning said. “I’m just focused on growing and helping this team in any way I can, and hopefully one day playing for the University of Texas, like I’ve always wanted to.”
