Before Kurt Warner was a Super Bowl champion and Pro Football Hall of Famer, he had to scratch and claw his way just to make the NFL.
Warner has had a very impressive NFL journey. He was not drafted after coming out of northern Iowa. He played three seasons in the Arena Football League for the Iowa Barnstormers and then tried his hand with the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe before joining the St. Louis Rams in 1998.

He was initially Trent Green’s backup at the start of the 1999 season, but Green suffered a season-ending ACL injury in a preseason game. Warner showed off his incredible talent that first season en route to the NFL MVP award and a Super Bowl championship.
“I think it’s huge,” Warner said. “Some guys don’t get the recognition or don’t have the best college environment to really show what they’re capable of. To people that I can play.”

Warner said his son Cade will play for the San Antonio Brahmas in the UFL.
“I have a son who was cut by an NFL team, and now he’s going to play in the UFL, and this will give him an opportunity to show what he’s been doing,” Warner said. “I think it’s great from a developmental standpoint. I’ve also played in NFL Europe. It’s been great to help me develop.”

“We’ve had a lot of quarterbacks in this league that have gone on to play in the Super Bowl. But just giving those guys the opportunity to play and live that dream, because it doesn’t always work out no matter what field you’re on. “. In again. It doesn’t always work the first time.
