As the elder Antetokounmpo stood by the scorer’s table awaiting scrutiny in Thursday’s game, Timberwolves announcer Jim Patterson announced that the Bucks were essentially killing any comeback attempt.

“The white flag is being waved,” Patterson said.

“Why do you say that, Jim Pete?” asked Timberwolves play-by-play announcer Michael Grady.

Patterson replied “Because Thanasis is getting ready to come into the game.” Milwaukee was trailing. Timber wolves 20-plus points at the time of Antetokounmpo’s substitution.
